Each year, Gwinnett Humane Society celebrates Spring with a day of fun in the park! PAWfest 2010 is our 17th annual festival! This fantastic event, in celebration of "Be Kind To Animals Week" (the first week of May), is a fun, educational family event that strives to educate the
public on pet-related issues while celebrating the human-pet bond.
This fun-filled festival is held
at Rhodes Jordan Park in downtown Lawrenceville, Saturday, May 8. Residents of Gwinnett and surrounding counties gather at the park to shop, eat, watch demonstrations, and show their support for GHS and their love for their companion animals.
PAWfest is a great way to spend the day with your four legged friend, a great place to find awesome gifts for you, your pet, or your pet-loving friends (non-pet goodies available, too), a great educational experience, and a great place to meet new friends!
This year will include lots of excitement – demonstrations, Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Testing; a Rabies, Microchip, and Wellness Clinic (including dental examination and a *NEW* low-cost Vaccine Clinic); Animal Communicator, Tim Link; our famous Silent Auction; dozens of vendors, animal rescues and non-profit groups; plus lots of other activities and fun.
Don’t miss out on our other popular activities -- including our annual PAWfest Raffle (great prizes again this year), PAWfest Passports, Dog Contests, and our annual PAW Parade (visit the PAWfest PAW Parade page for information on how you can set up YOUR PAWfest Firstgiving Fundraiser page to raise money for GHS before the event).
Well-behaved, leashed, pets are welcome (no dogs in heat, please)! Then join us Saturday, May 8 for a great time! Festival begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM.
Come join in the fun – rain or shine.
What a great way to spend a Spring day! Hope to see you there!
